The need of professional competences for medical students is increasing in Vietnam. This is challenges for traditional discipline-based medical programs in the establishment integrated curricular in medical schools to equip good skills and right attitude in practice for students. Throught a cross-sectional surveillance of of knowledge, skills and attitude, this article aims to survey the training needs and necessary competencies of general practitioners based on the actual requirements of recruitment and work in order to prepare well for the construction of the General Practitioner training program of the Van Lang University.
