PublicationExploring Realia Usage in Teaching English Grammar to Young Learners.( 2019)Lê Thị Ngọc DiệpThis study is a partial systematic look about the use of realia in teaching and learning grammar to young learners (from 6 to 11 years old) in public schools in Vietnam. It also offers a depiction of the problems that teachers and children had to face. The article focuses on exploring children’ expectation in grammar classes as well as how to manage those classes in a more effective and enjoyable way. A combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches is applied to collect data for studying. It is found out realia, in some cases, cannot be considered as a perfect aid to gain children’s understanding in explaining some grammar points

PublicationTeaching Quality Enhancement from Feedback and Importance Performance Analysis, A Case of Public Speaking Module in Vietnam Universities( 2019)Lê Thị Ngọc DiệpENHANCEMENT OF THE TEACHING QUALITY IS ALWAYS AN ESSENTIAL ISSUE IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION, AND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FEEDBACK FROM THE SOCIETY AND STUDENTS HAS BEEN INCREASINGLY EMPHASIZED BY HIGHER EDUCATION AUTHORITIES AND INSTITUTIONS BECAUSE IT IS A CONSIDERABLE SOURCE OF INFORMATION TO ENHANCE THE EDUCATION QUALITY. THIS PAPER AIMS TO EXPLORE THE FEEDBACK AND GAP BETWEEN EXPECTATIONS, PERCEPTIONS OF STUDENTS AND EXPERTS ON THE COURSE OF PUBLIC SPEAKING (PS) IN THE VIETNAM UNIVERSITIES. THE STUDY HAS EMPLOYED 2 METHODS OF THE QUALITATIVE AND THE QUANTITATIVE. THE QUALITATIVE RESULT IS FROM THE INTERVIEWS WITH STUDENTS AND CONSULTATIONS FROM EXPERTS WHO ARE AS SOCIETAL FACTORS OF THE EDUCATIONAL QUALITY SYSTEM, AND THE QUANTITATIVE OUTCOMES ARE FROM THE QUESTIONNAIRE WITH 267 UNDERGRADUATES AND GRADUATES. ADDITIONALLY, IMPORTANCE-PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS (IPA) HAS BEEN DONE WITH 11 ATTRIBUTES. THE RESULTS WILL BE USED AS A FOUNDATION TO REVIEW AND DEVELOP THE SYLLABUS TOWARDS THE SOCIETY-CONCENTRATED PURPOSE.

PublicationTranslation Studies – An analysis from stakeholders’ perspectives in Vietnam Universities( 2019)Lê Thị Ngọc DiệpBuilding up a training/ education program recognizably and responsibly with expectations of the stakeholders should be extremely done in tertiary education and the stakeholder feedback is one of the precious sources of information to obtain that purpose. “Translation studies” is not only a compulsory course but also a very important subject in the B.A program of the universities in Vietnam. To gain a holistic perception and understand the deeper standpoints of the stakeholder of the translation discipline, this study is done for that objective. The method used in this study is based on the two sources of data: primary and secondary information. The results will be a useful reference with recommendations formulated to help universities/colleges find out and enhance their own effective teaching methods in translation studies
