"The application of gender theory to analyze Korean literary works is relatively new. This study uses gender theory
as a foundation to examine the gender identity of the character Princess Bari in the Korean folk literature work ""Princess Bari,""
exploring her relationships with her father (the King), Siddhartha Gautama(The Buddha), the benevolent elderly couple, her older
sisters, Muchangsung, and other social connections. As a result, in each distinct relationship, the princess assumes different roles,
and we also observe the evolution of these roles as they develop through various relationships. "
