dc.description.abstract Hydraulic conductivity is vital in estimating an aquifer's water level and water budget on a regional scale in a refinement grid. Currently, hydraulic conductivity is mainly determined through field tests. However, since the pumping tests are expensive and complex to operate, the available hydraulic conductivity data is limited. Hence, the paper applied a geostatistical method to estimate hydraulic conductivity distribution in porous media of the Saigon river basin. The study utilized the available hydraulic conductivity data via pumping test from DWRPIS. The Kriging method shows better performance than the Natural Neighbor method on interpolation hydraulic conductivity in the Saigon river basin. Thus, the hydraulic conductivity distribution could characterize the quality of the aquifer on a local scale. For better distributed hydraulic conductivity maps, further study should increase the number of samples via estimated hydraulic conductivity base on the particle size and resistivity.
