dc.description.abstract Role-Playing has been applied to teach literature in many countries; however, research on this subject is minimal. This study aims to describe literary class activities, which is considered the first step of action research to solve the difficulties in teaching English literature in the Vietnamese context. The participants include 100 senior English majored students involved in the Pre, While and Post activities in the English Literature class. Post-session interviews were conducted to learn more about learners’ attitudes. These activities initially aroused students’ interest in understanding literary works and enhanced their ability to appreciate the selected stories in Van Lang University’s curriculum.
